The Engineer's estimate for this project is $2,048,000. This project consists of 3,502 feet of pipe burst sewer rehabilitation in various areas of Corte Madera (Willow Avenue, Chapman Drive, Taylor Lane, Montecito Drive easement, Diamond Head Passage, Paradise Drive, Manzanita Avenue, Grace Court, and Manzanita Court), rehabilitation of lower sewer laterals with final improvement restoration, and 398 feet of various open cut sewer on Pepper Avenue, Montecito Drive, and Manzanita Court in Corte Madera. The goal is to replace and/or complete repairs for all identified defects, focusing on sections with the most severe structural issues (Category 5), reduce I&I, and improve the overall function of SD2's sewer system . Additionally, some sewer mains will be regraded to improve functionality and reduce cleaning and maintenance needs. Normal working hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. A certified check, or bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, for not less than ten percent (10%) of the proposal shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the Contract, will fulfill the terms of the bid. The certified check or bid bond shall be made payable to the Sanitary District No. 2. The Sanitary District No. 2 reserves the right to refuse any or all proposals or bids or portions thereof. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept only a portion of certain items of the bid or to waive informalities in the bid.
