Pursuant to North Carolina Gen. Stat. _143-131 , Granville County ("County") is requesting informal bid proposals from qualified vendors for the removal and excavation of an existing waste compactor pad and once removed, a replacement pad shall be constructed consisting of a concrete pad with dimensions of 60' X 14'at the Butner Material Management Facility. The purpose of this request for proposals ("RFP") is to obtain informal bids is to select a qualified bidder (hereafter "Bidder") and recommend to the Granville County Board of Commissioners the award of a contract for the work described herein. Upon review of the RFP documents, Bidders may have questions to clarify or interpret the RFP in order to submit the best proposal possible. To accommodate the Proposal Questions process, Bidders must submit any such questions to the County's Solid Waste Management Director, Jason Falls by email to jason.falls@granvillecounty.org. Bidders should enter "Granville County - RFP - Concrete Pad at Butner Material Management Facility - Questions" as the subject for the email. The work to be performed consists of the removal and excavation of an existing waste compactor pad. Once removed, construction of (one) 60' long x 14'wide x 6" thick concrete pad; finished pad to be backfilled and compact with ABC stone to finished elevation of proposed pad. Specified concrete shall be 4000 psi; reinforcement shall be #4 bar at 12" centers each way. Facing edge of pad shall receive 3/4 " chamfer. Finish with medium broom finish and saw cut to 25% of pad thickness no more than 12 hours after placement.
