Description

Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Houston, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Works under this Contract include: Removal and disposal of existing filter media from the six (6) existing manganese greensand pressure filters. Internal inspection of filter vessels, underdrain systems, distributors, nozzles, strainers, and associated internal components. Optional work includes replacement of damaged or fouled components within the pressure filter. Replacement of anthracite, greensand plus, torpedo sand and gravel in the six (6) pressure filters, completed sequentially to maintain potable water production. Chlorination and bacterial testing of pressure filters. Inspection and completion of any optional work identified in the tender documents and confirmed during filter inspection.
