The Town of Firestone is reconsidering development of its 252-acre Central Park property on Colorado Boulevard after terminating a predevelopment agreement for a proposed professional soccer stadium. Current discussions focus on a potential amateur athletics hub, including a fieldhouse component from the previously proposed project. Original plans included a 200,000-square-foot multi-sports facility, a 5,000-seat stadium, infrastructure improvements, hospitality, retail and commercial development. Firestone may re-engage with the developer regarding a revised predevelopment agreement.
