Install isolation shutoff valves on domestic cold water (DCW), domestic hot water (DHW), and domestic hot water recirculation (DHWR) piping systems to enable individual building isolation from the campus water supply. Work includes installation or replacement of approximately 30 valves throughout the facility campus, utilizing coordinated water shutdowns, dual ice plug isolation methods, pre-fabricated pipe sections with shutoff valves, grooved coupling or flanged connections, and re-insulation of affected piping. Valve installations will be performed in Buildings A, B, D, E, F, G, H, K, L, and the Canteen, with certain shutdowns requiring multiple crews to perform simultaneous work. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, project management, testing, safety measures, permits, and documentation necessary to complete the work. Requirements include preparation and maintenance of a project schedule, Site Specific Safety Plan, Infection Control Risk Assessment measures, quality control procedures, weekly or bi-weekly project meetings, submittals, redline drawings, and completion reports. All work shall comply with VA standards, OSHA requirements, NFPA codes, applicable building codes, and domestic water system cleanliness requirements. An OSHA 30-certified competent person shall be onsite whenever work is being performed. The period of performance is 140 calendar days from Notice to Proceed.
