Market Street, Galion Ohio 44833 The Project and Work for the Project consists of restoration of dome above the Carnegie hipped roof and associated repairs, including structural framing reinforcement and repairs, roof repairs, and exterior wall repairs, at Galion Public Library located at 123 N. Market Street, Galion, Ohio 44833, in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Design Professional . Summary of Work Efforts: 1. Base Bid: Galion Public Library Dome and Roof Restoration Project a. Architectural: 1 ) Removal & replacement of exterior skylight. 2) Remove, salvage, clean & reinstall clay tile to allow for installation of liquid applied reinforced waterproofing system and new sheet metal. a) Removal & replacement of isolated broken or missing clay tile. 3) Remove existing copper sheet metal cap and replace with new SBS modified bitumen roof membrane with new sheet metal. 4) Brick masonry replacement at areas of isolated distress. 5) Terra cotta patching at isolated distress. 6) 100 percent mortar repointing within brick masonry and terra cotta. 7) Brick masonry cleaning and application of clear water repellent. 8) Terra cotta cleaning and recoating. 9) Removal & replacement of joint sealant at perimeter of windows. 10) Removal & replacement/installation of joint sealant with silicone joint sealant. 11) Installation of preformed silicone seals at joints within existing sheet metal caps to remain. b. Structural: 1 ) Installation of supplemental structural steel to reinforce the existing wood framing within the interior of the dome. 2. Alternate 1 : Contractor to leave the interior skylight in place, protect as required, and clean in place in lieu of removal , cleaning, and reinstallation.
