The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) Housing NWT (HNWT) is requesting tenders from qualified contractors to do modernization and improvements, structural and insulation upgrades on four units in Lutsel K'e, NT. Remove skirting sections as needed. Install R30 batt insulation, air barrier and 3/8" OSB in ( 16' x 78') floor as per SECTION 07. Construct 2 x 6 forced air plenum box (c/w 3/8" OSB sheathing, air barrier and R20 batt insulation) as per SECTION 07. Where needed, level foundation cribbing and level building as per SECTIONS 05 and 06. Re-install skirting and (where needed) repair 2x4 skirting frame as per SECTION 08. Insulate all sewage pipes with 2 1/2 " to 3" pipe insulation from floor penetration to sewage tank as per SECTION 20 05 05 Mechanical General Work Instructions. Securely fasten all insulation to pipes.MECHANICAL Disconnect hot/cold water supply at pressure pump and remove all water lines from floor cavity and/or interior. Supply and install new hot/cold PEX water lines along interior walls 1 1/2 " to 6" from ceiling. Drop hot/cold water lines to interior fixtures (each unit: 2 vanity faucets, 2 toilets, 2 tub faucets and kitchen faucet). Fasten PEX lines securely to walls. Upon completion, pressurize system and check for leaks. All plumbing work to conform to SECTION 20 05 05 Mechanical General Work Instructions. Supply and install new end stops (ball valves) and supply tubes on all fixture water lines as per SECTION 20 05 05 Mechanical General Work Instructions. Remove all sewage pipes from floor cavity and dispose of at community landfill. Drop new sewage pipes (matching existing pipes) from vanities, bathtubs and kitchen sinks through insulated floor and apply low-expanding foam and/or collar(s) around floor penetrations. All plumbing to conform to SECTION 20 05 05 Mechanical General Work Instructions. 3. .1 ELECTRICAL Install 5 AMP self-limiting heat trace on all sewage pipes . Tie-in heat trace with existing exterior power supply as per SECTION 26 05 00 Electrical Work General Instructions.
