The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to install seven (7) solar charging workstations at library locations across Hawaii and the DHHL Molokai District Office. Equipment will be provided by DHHL and shipped to island docks. Contractors are responsible for transporting equipment from docks to installation sites (in coordination with DHHL), site preparation, installation, anchoring, and final testing. Equipment Transport Coordinate with DHHL on equipment arrival at island docks Transport DHHL-provided equipment from dock to installation site Provide secure storage if needed between pickup and installation 2. Site Preparation Survey and verify exact placement location with DHHL and facility representatives Verify ADA compliance of proposed installation site and access pathways Obtain necessary permits from facility owners and local authorities Complete Surety Proposal Bond forms (Exhibit D) (*amended) 3. Concrete Work (where required) Excavate and prepare site per plans (Exhibit A) Install rebar and formwork as specified Pour and finish concrete pad to specified dimensions and tolerances Allow adequate curing time before installation 4. Installation Uncrate and inspect DHHL-provided equipment Install and level station per manufacturer specifications Anchor station using self-ballast system or as specified Ensure ADA compliance of final installation including clear space and approach paths 5. Testing and Acceptance Verify solar panel operation and charging functionality Document installation with photographs Test all charging outlets (AC, USB-A, USB-C) Provide training to facility staff on basic operation 6. Cleanup and Documentation Remove all debris, packaging, and construction materials Restore site to clean condition Submit installation completion report with photos and test results
