Historic repairs, replacements, and renovations to campus buildings that are at least 50 years old, in accordance with DHR guidance and the University's Heritage preservation plan. Buildings on campus older than 50 years old include: Fourth Avenue, Agriculture Engineering Building, Bookstore, Branch Hall, Byrd Hall, Colson Hall , Davis hall, Eggleston Hall, Fauntleroy Hall, Foster Hall, Gandy Hall, Heating Plant, Hunter-McDaniel Hall, Jackson Place, Jessie Bolling Hall , Johnston Library, Jones Dining Hall , Langston Hall, Lindsey Montague, Lockett Hall, MT Carter, Maintenance warehouse, Memorial Hall, Owens Hall, Post Office, Presidents House, Rogers Stadium, Seward Hall , Singleton Hall, Sponsored Research and Graduate Studies, Storum Hall, Trinkle Hall, Vawter Hall, Virginia Hall , Whiting Hall and Williams Hall Question Deadline 08/10/2026 All inquiries for information must be in writing and directed to: Debra AC. Sulla; dacsulla@vsu.edu 212-18522-000 Waterproof Campus Buildings These projects are generally described as waterproofing basements and providing improved drainage at 11 academic and administrative buildings to prevent moisture intrusion and curb mold growth. This project will include the installation of; exterior basement foundation drainage systems, waterproofing system, site drainage improvements and separating sanitary/storm sewer inertconnections. In some cases, work will also include repointing exterior masonry. 212-18530-000 Improve HVAC Campuswide for Infectious Aerosol Control These projects are generally described as mechanical heating, cooling, ventilation, filtration, and humidity controls in buildings . This project will provide improvements to mechanical systems at several buildings. 212-18609-000 Improve Access and Accessibility These projects are generally described as accessibility renovations at selected existing facilities including accessible entrances, replacing adjoining sidewalks and curbs that are spalled , cracked or broken and modifying/adding restrooms to make these buildings fully compliant. The scope of the work also includes addressing stairs or other physical barriers that create an unsafe condition for individuals with mobility or vision impairments. The elevators will be replaced or new elevators will be provided at these buildings. 212-18772-000 Improve Life Safety Systems Campuswide These projects are generally described as replacement of the fire suppression and fire alarm systems in several buildings. NON-CAPITAL PROJECTS Scopes will become available as the designs are completed and approved by DEB. These projects are generally described as HVAC, chillers, structural , modular buildings, MEP, fire pumps , demolition, replacement, and repair of historic building facade and envelope components including brickwork, carpentry and millwork, windows and doors, glazing, porches, fenestrations, and exterior lighting at selected historic buildings. The contractor will coordinate all trades per the documents
