Reference Number 0000431815 The City of Lamar is soliciting competive proposals from qualified, licensed and insured contractors to perform environmental abatement and remediation activities at multiple municipally controlled brownfield properties located in downtown Lamar. The intent of this solicitation is to remove asbestos-containing materials and associated hazardous building materials in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, thereby enableing redevelopment of the properties for commercial, residential and public-use purposes. The RFP is issued as part of a federal, state and locally funded brownfields cleanup initiative and is subject to all applicable grant requirements. The project consists of coordinated but site-specific cleanup activities at three related downtown properties. Although the buildings are physically adjacent and functionally linked, each property shall be bid, priced, tracked and invoiced as a separate line item.
