Site work and new construction of a civil project in Westport, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The work proposed under this contract is located behind 1850 Boston Post Road E in Buckley Avenue South and in front of 1790 Boston Post Road E. There are existing easements and easement restrictions in place which will impact the construction staging on 1850 Boston Post Road. The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, tools, equipment, and materials as required, shown on the Contract Drawings, and described in these specifications. The principal items of Work are modifications to Pump Station # 10, installation of 2,600 linear feet of C-900 force main, interconnections to the live force main and pavement removal/ repair. The work items described above do not define the entire scope of work items and equipment required to complete the sanitary sewer extension and storm sewer project. The Contractor shall be responsible to provide other associated work necessary for the completion of the contract, including but not limited to obtaining all necessary licenses and permits required to construct the facilities, construction staking, and assistance in inspections conducted by others in relation to this work. All work, materials and methods shall comply with The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications for Roads, Bridges and Incidental Construction, Form 816 , 2004, as revised by the Supplemental Specifications dated January 2009 (otherwise referred to collectively as "ConnDOT Form 819") is hereby made part of this contract, as modified by the Special Provisions contained herein.. The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation's "Construction Contract Bidding and Award Manual" (" Manual"), August 21 , 2000 edition or latest issue, is hereby made part of this contract. If the provisions of this Manual conflict with provisions of other Department documents (not including statutes or regulations), the provisions of the Manual will govern .
