Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Westport, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Town of Westport reserves the right to waive any defects and informality in the bidding or in any Bid, to reject any or all Bid's for any reason whatsoever and to accept that Bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Westport. Repair, regrading, and restoration of the scour hole and damage at the southeast corner of the bridge. The bridge as recently constructed used modified riprap. The repair will seek to use intermediate or larger riprap to replace the washed away riprap. This will include both the riprap washed away on the south abutment AND the riprap not washed away along the north abutment. Replacement of the subgrade and installation of larger riprap along the south abutment. Replacement of the existing riprap along the north abutment with larger riprap. An assessment, including testing as required, or the amount of erosion under the approach slabs of the bridge. Cavities under the approach slab will require the injection of concrete or similar methodology to guarantee no additional cavities under the roadway. General repair and restoration of the bridge construction site as needed.
