Site work and paving for a road / highway in Montoursville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Project involves the following approximate quantities : 18,108 square yards of full depth pavement reclamation with 439 tons of chemical ( cement ) stabilization, removal and disposal of 2,012 cubic yards of material to lower grades , 18,108 square yards of asphalt tack coat, and furnishing and placing 2,674 tons of asphalt binder course and 1,604 tons of asphalt wearing course . All work and material must meet current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Form 408 and its supplements . A certified check or bank draft, payable to Montoursville Borough, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds ( at par value) , or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten ( 10 ) percent of the total of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid . Construction Performance and Payment Bonds are required in the amount of one-hundred ( 100 ) percent of the Contract as awarded . The Montoursville Borough Council reserve the right to reject any or all bids , or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
