Renovation of a municipal facility in Nederland, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 238290. The small business size standard is $22 Million. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. Questions shall be submitted via email to rebecca.l.schowalter@usda.gov and are due no later than August 12, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Mt time. The Boulder Ranger District needs replacement of four (4) industrial, 10'x10' rollup, overhead garage doors. The Nederland Work Center Engine Bay is located in Nederland, CO. initially the doors were to just be serviced, springs repaired/replaced and motors replaced. Upon further discussion with industry, it was decided to be in better interest to replace the four (4) original doors, motors and associated components. The garage doors and openers are assumed to be original. The building was constructed in 1997. The Contractor shall furnish all management, labor, equipment, supervision, tools, materials, transportation, operating supplies, supervision, workman's compensation, unemployment insurance and incidentals necessary to perform the work in accordance with the specification and provisions of the contract. The contractor shall remove and install new garage doors according to State and Federal laws and regulations. Extreme care shall be taken by the contractor to ensure that not damage is done to the building, structure, and site due to Contractor's work. Any damage shall be repaired by the Contractor by a Contracting Officer approved repair plan. All removed components, trash, debris, etc. shall be maintained to one designated area, removed from site by the contractor, and disposed of in a State approved landfill or State recycling center as appropriate. All trash shall be removed from site each day. The contractor is responsible for always maintaining safe operations. The Forest Service is not responsible for the safety of the Contractor nor any operators or assistants. The Contractor shall provide and maintain work procedures which will safeguard the public and Government personnel, as well as the Contractor's own personnel. The Contractor shall be expected to use reasonable safety procedures and equipment while operating on National Forest lands. Contractor must ensure that they do not interfere with U.S. Forest Service fire operations and personnel, which may occur in the work area. Contractor must coordinate with Forest Service personnel to allow for personnel, engines and equipment to come and go at any given moment. The Contractor shall provide complete and accurate activity records throughout the duration of the contract and provide the Government with legible, readable copies of such records upon completion of a unit of work on the contract, and prior to or accompanying the invoice. Contractor shall ensure that doors do not remain open after working hours. The building shall be secured at the end of each workday. Include this plan in the safety plan. The Contractor shall submit product data and obtain approval from the Contracting Officer for all materials and supplies used on the project prior to use. This shall include materials, dimensions of components, profiles, finishes, installation instructions, forces/loads, motor nameplate data, etc. The contractor shall submit shop drawings for components and installation not in the product data. The contractor shall submit a safety plan that includes company safety policy, site specific job safety items, traffic control, hazard area identification, address site access, site security, etc. The Contractor must notify the COR upon completion of installing the doors. The COR may inspect the site up to 15 days following completion of work to verify work was performed according to contract requirements. If the contractor fails to meet the specifications, the contractor must rework the requirement. The COR must be notified of work completion prior to submitting invoice. The Contractor shall submit Install Certifications, signed by the manufacturer certifying that the installers comply with specified requirements. The Contractor shall submit all operation and maintenance documents for all components before final payment. The Contractor shall provide a 5-year warranty on parts, materials, supplies, and labor.
