Site work for a water / sewer project in Edgerton, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The 2026 W. 8th & W. Nelson Stormwater Improvements Project would design improvements within a single project area to address two related drainage issues identified in the Citys Stormwater Master Plan: rear yard drainage serving the neighborhood between W. 8th Street and W. 7th Street, and street flooding mitigation at the W. Nelson Street intersections with W. 8th Street and W. 7th Street. The City will engage a single Design Team to provide services for the entire project area. The City plans to select a qualified Design Team to define scope, develop design documents, technical specifications, project manual, estimate costs. Following the completion of project design, the City expects to open a request for bids for construction of the completed design from qualified contractors; the Design Team will serve as the lead for conducting the bid phase of the project, and provide construction administrative services throughout design. The Design Team shall support the Citys construction inspection staff throughout construction, as the City will perform construction inspection using its own inspector.
