The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following, but not limited to the existing Acord Ice Center building and partial site elements The Acord Ice Center Evaporative Condenser has approached the end of its service life. The work includes removing the existing evaporative condenser from the refrigeration room and relocating the new condenser to the exterior mechanical yard. New structural supports and foundations, refrigeration piping modifications, electrical and controls work, and integration with the existing refrigeration system. Several outdated system components will be modernized, including replacing the obsolete emergency pressure control box with an automated emergency pressure control system and abandoning the existing underground dilution tank & installing a new aboveground dilution tank. The Evaporative Condenser (EC-1 ) is considered a critical path procurement item . Current delivery time is estimated to be 20-22 weeks. The Contractor shall prioritize procurement activities & submit equipment shop drawings immediately upon award. These improvements are intended to enhance system reliability, safety, and code compliance while helping ensure the long-term operation of the ice rink's refrigeration infrastructure.
