Total reconstruction of the deck, ADA ramps, and stairs at an existing elevated timber pedestrian walkover, including demolition of existing deck, joists, support beams, and railings, and reconstruction using pressure treated lumber, cumaru decking, and aluminum railings. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, Performance Bond required (unspecified amount), Payment Bond required (unspecified amount). The work for REMOVE & REPLACE ELEVATED BOARDWALK & BEACH ACCESS AT ROSS DRIVE includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as shown on the Drawings and as described in the Specifications. The work consists of demolishing the existing elevated boardwalk deck, joists, support beams and railings. The existing timber piles that support the elevated walkover are to remain. The elevated timber walkover is to be reconstructed with pressure treated lumber, cumaru decking and aluminum railing. The work is in the City of Brigantine at the dead end of Ross Drive where the existing elevated timber walkover extends approximately 285 feet towards the beach. The work shall be completed within one hundred twenty (120) days of the Notice to Proceed or be subject to liquidated damages of $500.00 per day. Any request for interpretations shall be made in writing, addressed to Mr. Vincent Polistina, PE, Polistina & Associates, 6684 Washington Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234, and, to be given consideration, must be received at least ten (10) days - excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays - prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
