Site work and new construction of a power facility in The Dalles, Oregon. Completed plans call for the construction of a power facility.
The work for the project includes Phase 1 (The existing substation will remain in service until Phase I construction is complete, energized, and placed in service) 1. Site development includes an access driveway, clearing, excavation, grading, backfill, compaction, and installation of site surfacing material. 2. Install substation perimeter masonry wall panels on the three exterior sides of the Phase I yard, including a sliding drive gate along E. 16th Ave. 3. The existing fence between the Phase I and Phase II areas will require a minor adjustment and serve as an isolation safety fence between Phases. 4. Construct all foundations and include the oil containment system for the transformer. 5. Install vaults, drainage pipes , LV conduits, HV feeder conduits, and grounding. 6. Install the new power transformer and control building on their foundation pads. 7. Install steel structures, non-segregated bus, rigid bus, bus supports, jumpers, and other equipment to make the physical construction complete. 8. Perform all low-voltage wiring interconnections. 9. Complete preparation and readiness for testing and energization. 10. The PUD will install HV cable, make-up terminations, energize Phase I equipment and transfer load as desired.
