The Scope of Work is different for both projects. The City will rely on the Contractor to make best estimations based on their experience and knowledge of the required work. Russell Street, Haileybury Storm This project entails the abandonment of existing storm sewer infrastructure and installation of new pipes and structures along the roadway segment between Georgina Avenue and Sutherland Way, approximately 165 metres in length. The existing storm system consists of a deteriorated mix of clay tile and corrugated steel pipe and is to be fully removed and replaced with new 300mm plastic storm pipe. Existing storm maintenance holes and catchbasin structures are assumed to remain in place unless otherwise identified. Minor roadway restoration and surface reinstatement are to be included. Detail maps can be found in the applicable appendix. The Contractor shall make all necessary provisions to complete the work, including, but not limited to, the following: 1. Utility locates, mobilization, and site setup. 2. Traffic control in accordance with Ontario Traffic Manual standards. The City will supply road closure notices if required. 3. Sawcut and remove asphalt as needed. There may be a requirement to remove sidewalk where applicable if Watermain is too close. 4. Remove and or abandon all existing storm pipe within the project limits. 5. Clean, inspect, and confirm condition and inverts of existing storm maintenance holes and catchbasins to remain. 6. Supply and install new plastic storm sewer pipe, 300mm, approximately 165 metres in total length. 7. Connect new storm pipe to existing structures, including core drilling, trimming, and grouting as required to provide watertight connections. 8. Confirm positive drainage throughout the system and adjust pipe grades as required to maintain hydraulic performance. 9. Backfill trenches with approved granular material and compact to municipal standards. 10. Restore road base with Granular A as required to match existing conditions. 11. Asphalt reinstatement within disturbed areas, thickness to match existing roadway. 12. Re-establish roadway drainage patterns to ensure surface water is directed to existing catchbasins. Minor asphalt shaping, swales, or curb adjustments may be required. 13. Restore disturbed boulevards, shoulders, driveways, and adjacent gravel or paved surfaces. 14. Topsoil , seed, and reinstate all disturbed boulevard and landscaped areas. 15. Remove excess materials, clean the site, and demobilize upon completion.
