Question Deadline 10/30/2026 at 5:00 PM ET All inquiries regarding this proposal shall be submitted via the County's online procurement Portal, located at online The County of Greenville is seeking proposals for the Partial Closure Construction of the Class 2 Unit 2 Landfill at the Twin Chimneys Landfill, subject to the conditions and all provisions set forth herein and in the Drawings and Specifications (attachment C & D). A portion of the Class 2 Unit 2 Landfill has achieved final grades. The closure consists of constructing: A stormwater pond Subgrade preparation Structural fill of a perimeter berm o Stone access road o Erosion control measures (silt fence, erosion control blankets, seeding). The project is approximately 301,000 cy excavation and 120,000 cy of structural fill . The soil borrow area is within the Unit 2 Landfill footprint and has been cleared. The County desires the project to reach substantial completion within 210 calendar days. Structural fill will be placed within the perimeter berm in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The remaining excavated material shall be stockpiled within the Unit 2 Landfill footprint at designated locations. The project area and designated soil borrow area are located within the Unit 2 Landfill footprint and have been cleared in advance of construction. The Contractor shall provide the services of a South Carolina-licensed land surveyor to establish survey control and perform as-built surveys to verify that required quantities, elevations, and grades have been achieved. The Contractor shall also engage a South Carolina-licensed firm to perform soil testing and provide the necessary testing and documentation to verify compliance with the project plans, specifications, and applicable requirements.
