Removal and replacement of exterior windows and siding at the library branch. Bonds: 5% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond, 100% Payment Bond, 10% Maintenance Bond. Contractor shall be responsible for following all applicable OSHA, and site-specific regulations including but not limited to, Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures, Building Permits, Confined Space Requirements, Burning Permits, MSDS Requirements, and etc. The contractor shall work with the Building Management Team to minimize odors from infiltrating the building by coordinating when working around air intakes. Prior notice is required to manage the airflow within the building, and the contractor shall inform the Building Management Team upon completion of work for the day. Contractor shall coordinate all staging and site set up with BCFL Staff two (2) weeks prior to commencing work. Site specific logistical requirements will be discussed during the pre-construction meeting. Unless otherwise noted, contractor shall provide and pay for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, construction machinery, water, heat, utilities, transportation, temporary protection, and other facilities and services necessary for proper execution and completion of the work as required by the contract documents. Contractor shall provide overhead protection when working near building entrances. The contractor shall allow for 500 Sq. Ft. of 5/8" exterior grade plywood deck replacement allowance; credit deduct based on unit cost on bid form. The contractor shall allow for 250 Linear. Ft. of fascia board replacement allowance; credit deduct based on unit cost on bid form. The contractor shall allow 100 Linear. Ft. of window wood framing replacement allowance; credit deduct based on unit cost on bid form. All work areas shall be secured in a watertight condition each day before the contractor vacates the site. There will be no exceptions. Contractor shall be responsible for proper disconnection and reconnection of all roof top equipment as necessary. Designated 2nd Floor Clearstory Windows: Contractor to remove and replace all designated 2nd story clearstory windows and replace with specified units. Contractor to properly trim interior side of window and patch and paint drywall as needed. Contractor shall provide manufacturer and contractor warranties as required. Contractor to provide all necessary interior protection and safety taped off areas to conduct the work. Designated 2nd Floor Clearstory Siding: Contractor shall remove designated existing asphalt shingles, underlayment, and other roofing components down to the existing wood substrate (two courses of shingles at headwall and minimum of 18" at step flashing tie-in). Unsuitable substrate shall be properly replaced. Contractor shall furnish and properly install the specified underlayment and ice and water shield over the wood substrate in all areas as per drawing layout. Contractor shall furnish and properly install the specified asphalt shingle roof system and include all components. Contractor shall furnish and properly install all new sheet metal components. Contractor shall furnish and properly install specified underlayment on rising wall . Contractor shall furnish and properly install specified vinyl siding. Contractor shall furnish and properly install specified gutter and downspout system. Contractor shall furnish and properly install specified leaf guard system in all gutters. Contractor shall furnish and properly install shop formed trim metal as specified. Contractor shall provide manufacturer and Contractor warranties as required. Fascia/Gutters/Downspouts: Contractor shall furnish and properly install specified seamless gutters and downspouts with expansion joints on runs over 50 feet.
