Renovation of a municipal facility in Bangor, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The City of Bangor is soliciting bids from qualified firms for work consisting of Window Improvements; Bid Option 1 is for Window Rehabilitation; Bid Option 2 is Window Replacements. Work on Bid Option 1- Window Rehabilitation will begin within two weeks of the award of bid. Work on Bid Option 2- Window Replacements requires approvals by Bangor's Historic Preservation Commission, which may delay start of work by 60 days. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
