Renovation of an educational facility in Bangor, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Remove decayed wood at window sills in each classroom, replace with new sills, reinstall existing vinyl windows. Provide new door and sidelight window in each classroom. Provide new vinyl replacement windows at gym and office areas. Alternate: Remove vinyl siding, framing as indicated at rear north and south elevations. Replace existing wood metal clad sill with new PVC sill. Install new vinyl windows as indicated. Reinstall existing vinyl windows as indicated. Install new doors and hardware as indicated. A bid security will be required consisting of a 5 percent (5%) Bid Bond or a Certified Check in lieu of the Bid Bond is required. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for 100% of the value of the work are required. Liquidated damages : Contractor agrees that, from the compensation otherwise to be paid, the Owner may retain the sum of $300.00 for each day thereafter.
