Site work for a water / sewer project in Bar Harbor, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
As of December 22, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Work under this project includes, but is not limited to, the installation of a potable water concrete storage tank including all materials, equipment, labor, and incidentals related to a complete tank installation project. The work includes all sitework required in support of the tank, such as clearing, ledge removal, grading, waterline piping, wedge valves, sitework, pavement, demolition work, fencing, roadway improvements, geotextiles, trench insulation, earthwork, structural fill, drain piping, fittings, vault, valves, expansion joints, erosion control, precast concrete valve vault, chemical feed system and analyzers, circulation pump, catch basin, drainage, concrete, generator pad and propane generator, electrical, tank mixer, instrumentation, accessories, and incidentals required for a complete working replacement potable water storage tank system. Alternate Bid No. 1 includes providing one coat tamoseal cementous base damp-proofing on the exterior of the dome and one coat of non-cementitious tammscoat smooth on the dome and exterior wall surfaces. Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond, and the successful bidder will be required to provide both a Performance and a Payment Bond, each representing 100% of the contract value. Compliance with American Iron and Steel requirements and Davis-Bacon wage rates is mandatory. Only registered plan holders who have obtained plans from the engineering firm may submit a bid. All bids must comply with the outlined instructions, including the submission of required bonds and certifications as specified in the documents. Engineer will transmit to all perspective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising during bidding process.
