Renovation of a mixed-use development in Belfast, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a retail development; and one-unit multi-residential development.
The owner of the building located at 74 Main Street, Belfast, Maine, seeks qualified vendors to provide individual bids for the following services: 1. Repointing bricks on the front of the building 2. Replacing the apartment door 3. Replace/repair rotten sills and trims This work is partially funded through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG ) Business Façade Grant and is subject to all federal and state requirements for this program . Davis Bacon wage rates will apply for this project. The City of Belfast reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. The scope of this project is to address the conditions related to blight designation , as listed below by building elevation . The owner of the building seeks qualified vendors to provide individual bids for the following services : 1. Repointing bricks on the front of the building 2. Replacing the apartment door 3. Replace /repair rotten sills and trims Item 1 Repointing bricks on the front of the building - Repointing bricks on the front of the building in the areas highlighted in the photo below . Due to the project site's location , selected vendor must be experienced with brickwork on historic properties and follows standards set by the National Park Service for cleaning and repointing . Builder to be responsible for all labor , materials , as well as equipment necessary to complete work safely Item 2 Replacing the apartment door Selected vendor will be responsible for removal and replacement of door on Main Street that leads to apartment unit . The door being replaced is highlighted in the photo below . Builder to be responsible for all labor , materials , as well as equipment necessary to complete work safely . Replacement door has been selected by the site owner . Item 3 - Replace / repair rotten sills and trims Selected vendor will be responsible for replacing window sills and trims on the second floor of the structure . Work also includes replacing caulking along the window sills and repainting the trim when complete . Builder to be responsible for all labor , materials , as well as equipment necessary to complete work safely . Replacement door has been selected by the site owner .
