Bids are requested for a storm drain replacement and resurfacing project on Stone Street in the City of Brewer. The project limits are on Stone Street from South Main Street to Elm Street. Work includes replacing a failing section of vitrified clay lines with 12" HDPE MaineDOT Option III dual wall pipe with a smooth interior, connecting all existing structures into the new storm drain line, and installing a doghouse manhole structure to connect the new line to the existing concrete storm drain. After replacing the storm drain, the remaining portions of the roadway will be milled and overlaid, the sidewalk will be reconstructed, and all new concrete curbing will be installed using two different curb molds in various locations. Completion- August 8, 2026. Interested bidders may obtain project bid information and specifications from the Brewer Engineering Department. Bids must be submitted using the provided bid form, sealed in an envelope marked "2026 Stone Street Reconstruction Project," and received at the Brewer Engineering Department office. Bids received after the deadline will not be allowed. All bid questions must be received by three days prior to the bid deadline; questions after this time will not be answered. The City of Brewer reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, waive informalities or minor irregularities, and accept the proposal deemed in its best interest.
