Bids are requested for the resurfacing of certain streets for the City of Brewer. The project may include the grinding or full depth reclamation of existing road surface, furnishing and placement of hot bituminous concrete shims and overlays on existing City streets, parking areas, and walkways. Total tonnage is estimated to be 2350 tons and total areas to be ground or reclaimed are estimated to be 18,350 square yards. Interested bidders may obtain bid information and specifications for the project by contacting Brewer Engineering Department. For consideration, the attached bid form must be sealed in an envelope, distinctly marked, "FY26 CITY STREET PAVING BID" and must be received at the Office of Jeremy Caron, Brewer Engineering Dept., 221 Green Point Road, Brewer, ME by 1:00 PM, Friday, February 27, 2026. Any bids received after the date and time specified will not be allowed. The paving and/or grinding of City streets shall not commence until the Contractor receives a notice to proceed from the City Engineer or his designee. The City of Brewer, Maine holds the exclusive right to reject or accept all or part of any or all bids received. Question Deadline 02/20/2026- No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other Contract Documents will be made to any Bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation must be in writing addressed to the City Engineer, 221 Green Point Road, Brewer, Maine 04412 and to be given consideration must be received at least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids.
