Renovation of an educational facility in Castine, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The dormer portion of this RFP was awarded to Woods Point Associates, LLC for $15,779.00. The owner is going in another direction (undecided at the moment) for the ramp portion. Provide 2 separate prices, one for the Accessible Ramp portion, and one for the Dormers portion. 1. Ramp: (Price #1) Design and construct 1 each handicapped accessible ramp. Ramp to go from existing door to existing concrete pad with one return. Ramp to meet all ADA and local codes. Ramp framing to be constructed from pressure treated lumber. Ramp decking to be composite material. Ramp should have white railing constructed from composite material. Ramp should be built to withstand high winds. 2. Dormers: (Price #2) North, East, West and South dormers to have existing cedar shingle siding removed and replaced. Corner boards shall not be used. Corners will be weaved. Any rotten wood encountered to be replaced on a time and materials basis - Provide hourly price for labor and markup percentage for materials for the time and materials piece. 3. Bidder will be responsible for all permits. 4. All local, state, and federal laws are to be obeyed. 5. Bidder to provide their own portable toilet. 6. Bidder responsible for providing own dumpster and keeping jobsite clean 7. No smoking on premises. Maine Maritime Academy, a four-year state supported college in Castine, ME, is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the addition of an accessible ramp and dormer work repair at Wyman House.
