The owners of the building located at 10 State Street, Ellsworth, Maine, seek qualified vendors to provide individual bids for the following services to the Main Street Facade: Window Replacement: Replace six street-facing windows - one picture window and five smaller windows. Window Trim: Repair and/or replace rotted wood trim around windows as needed. Exterior Site Prep and Painting: Scrape, prime, and paint top snow gutter, windows, and storefront with paint provided by tenant and/or owner. This work is partially funded through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Business Façade Grant and is subject to all federal and state requirements for this program. Davis Bacon wage rates will apply for this project. Questions regarding this project can also be directed to Ms. Fisher. The City of Ellsworth reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids. Item 1 - Window replacement: Replace six street-facing windows -- one picture window and five smaller windows. Remove and dispose of existing street-facing picture window and five smaller windows provided by property owner and/or tenant. Window replacements shall include proper insulation in and around framing to ensure airtightness and heating/cooling efficiency. The five smaller windows shall be replaced with double hung windows. Item 2 - Window trim: Repair and/or replace rotted wood trim around windows as needed. Any replaced woodwork shall be in keeping with the building's historic details. Use pressure treated wood if replacing trim. Paint woodwork to match any existing woodwork. Item 3 - Exterior site prep and painting: Scrape, prime, and paint top snow gutter, windows, and storefront with paint provided by tenant and/or owner. Q/A:- All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents are to be directed to the Program Administrator. Interpretations or clarifications necessary by the Program Administrator in response to such questions, will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Program Administrator as having received the Bid Documents. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. . Owner(s) will be available to answer any questions of bidders prior to submission.
