A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The owners of the building located at 125 Main Street, Ellsworth, Maine, seek qualified vendors to provide individual bids for the following services to the Main Street Facade Demolition/Removals: Remove all existing wood siding and support framing from building face down to the existing brick masonry, existing wood overhang structure, existing sheet metal flashing, sheet metal façade, plywood and framing, including metal and wood panels to existing windows. Masonry: Furnish and install similar-to-original brick masonry at building storefront areas; clean and repoint/restore existing brick masonry in remaining areas of business exterior; furnish and install masonry anchors for installation of news sign support at building front. Thermal and Moisture Protection: Furnish and install insulation layer between existing and now brick masonry; furnish and install new metal parapet flashing and tie in existing rubber roofing to new cap. Windows and Doors: Furnish and install six new transom windows over existing windows and door to replace existing plywood and metal panel inserts. Finishes: Furnish and install new metal flashing drip edge between existing windows and new masonry below windows; furnish and install new painted or natural wood trim adjacent to existing door to replace existing metal flashing; remove and reinstall sidewalk sign support. Demolition: Remove siding and overhang structure from the front of the building. Brickwork: Repair, clean and repoint brick exterior. Façade: Furnish and install transom windows, removing old inserts. Installation of a new entry door. Install new signage. Electrical: Relocate electrical components that may be exposed behind the wall. This work is partially funded through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Business Façade Grant and is subject to all federal and state requirements for this program. Davis Bacon wage rates will apply for this project. Questions regarding this project can also be directed to Ms. Fisher. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents are to be directed to the Program Administrator. Interpretations or clarifications necessary by the Program Administrator in response to such questions, will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Program Administrator as having received the Bid Documents. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered The City of Ellsworth reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
