Description: Maine Federal Aid Project No. 2725800 WIN 027258.00, 2726000 WIN 027260.00 Location: In Cumberland County, Ewing Narrows Bridge is located on Mountain Road over Ewing Narrows approximately 1.8 of a mile north-westerly of Route 24. In Lincoln County, Westport-Wiscasset Bridge is located on Main Road over Cowsweag Narrows on the Wiscasset-Westport Island town line. Scope of Work: Ewing Narrows Bridge in Harpswell and Westport-Wiscasset Bridge in Wiscasset & Westport Island bridge wearing surface replacement plus other incidental work. For Project-specific information fax all questions to Project Manager Gerald Libby Jr. at (207) 624-3431, use electronic RFI form or email questions to RFI- Contracts.MDOT@maine.gov, project name and identification number should be in the subject line. Questions received after noon of Monday (or if that Monday is a state holiday, Friday) prior to bid date will not be answered. Bidders shall not contact any other Departmental staff for clarification of Contract provisions, and the Department will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained. TTY users call Maine Relay 711. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Department and must be accompanied by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order in the amount of 5% of the bid amount, payable to Treasurer, State of Maine as a Bid guarantee. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price, will be required of the successful Bidder. This Contract is subject to all applicable Federal Laws. This contract is subject to compliance with the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program requirements as set forth by the Maine Department of Transportation.
