Site work and paving for a civil project in Lewiston, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work for the BATES & PINE STREET CSO SEPARATION shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory construction of installation of: Stormdrain - 9 Catch Basin Removals - 200 SF 2" Rigid Insulation - 360 CY Aggregate Base - 1,080 CY Aggregate Subbase - 11 Granite Headstones - 52 LF 8" Solid Pipe (SDR35 PVC or HP Storm) - 117 LF 10" Solid Pipe (SDR35 PVC or HP Storm) - 130 LF 12" Solid Pipe (SDR35 PVC or HP Storm) - 247 LF 15" Solid Pipe (SDR35 PVC or HP Storm) - 533 LF 18" Solid Pipe (SDR35 PVC or HP Storm) - 10, 4-ft Dia. Catch Basins - 1, 6-ft Dia. Catch Basin - 18 VF, 4-ft Dia. Manhole - 16 VF, 5-ft Dia. Manhole Sewer Main - 30 VF, 4-ft Dia. Manhole - 3 Sewer Spot Repairs (up to 15-ft) - 1 Sewer Spot Repair (15-ft to 35-ft) Paving - 140 Ton of Machine-Placed 12.5mm HMA Surface Course - 400 Ton of Machine-Placed 19mm HMA Base Course - 150 Ton of Hand-Placed HMA - 1,600 SY of Pavement Removal - 200 SY Loam, Seed & Mulch Water Main - 8 LF of 14" Dia. DI Water Main - 180 LF of 12" Dia. DI Water Main - 20 LF of 8" Dia. DI Water Main - 1 Hydrant Installation Work within Bates Street will include the separation of the existing combined system located between Ash Street & Pine Street. Ancillary work within Bates Street includes sewer main spot repairs, sewer manhole installations, and water main replacement at the Ash & Pine Street intersections. Work within Pine Street will include the separation of the existing combined system located between Bates Street & Blake Street. Pavement disturbed during construction will be subsequently repaved to widths specified in Division 10 "Measurement & Payment." Coordination with the Water District for requisite water main shut-downs will be required. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and the proper fulfillment of the conditions of the Contract. The total Contract price shall mean the total bid price as stated in the Proposal based on the estimated quantities of the various items of work.
