The work for the CURED-IN-PLACE PIPE LINING OF SANITARY SEWERS Part A shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory lining of: Approximately 10,560 LF of 8" sanitary sewer pipe (AC, VC) Approximately 5,435 LF of 10" sanitary sewer pipe (AC, VC, concrete) Approximately 2,820 LF of 12" sanitary sewer pipe (AC, VC, concrete, RC) Approximately 225 LF of 14" sanitary sewer pipe (AC) Approximately 2,145 LF of 15" sanitary sewer pipe (RC, VC) Approximately 1,690 LF of 18" sanitary and storm sewer pipe (RC, VC) Approximately 420 LF of 21" sanitary sewer pipe (RC) Approximately 905 LF of 24" sanitary sewer pipe (RC, VC) Approximately 105 LF of 36" sanitary sewer pipe (VC) Approximately 1,030 LF of 18"x12" sanitary sewer pipe (brick egg-shaped) Approximately 130 LF of 18"x16" sanitary sewer pipe (brick egg-shaped) Approximately 245 LF of 30"x18" sanitary sewer pipe (brick egg-shaped) Approximately 550 LF of 30"x20" sanitary sewer pipe (brick egg-shaped) as well as the reconnection of approximately 420 service connections in the City of Lewiston, and Part B shall consist of, but not be limited to, the complete and satisfactory lining of: Approximately 920 LF of 8" sewer pipe (AC, VC) Approximately 750 LF of 10" sewer pipe (AC, VC) Approximately 1,660 LF of 12" sewer pipe (RC, VC, unknown material) One short segment of unknown length and material as well as the reconnection of approximately 50 service connections in the City of Auburn. No Proposal will be considered unless it is accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, made out in favor of the City of Lewiston. All bid securities will be released upon deliverance of a signed Contract or, if no Contract award is made, within forty-five (45) days after the opening of the Proposals, unless forfeited as herein stipulated. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, preferably executed on AIA Bond Form Number A311, in an amount equal to the total Contract price, of a surety company satisfactory to the Purchasing Agent, will be required of the successful bidder to ensure completion of the work and the proper fulfillment of the conditions of the Contract. The total Contract price shall mean the total bid price as stated in the Proposal based on the estimated quantities of the various items of work. Questions and Requests for Information shall be submitted to Peralie Burbank (pburbank@lewistonmaine.gov) on or before noon, August 8, 2024. Questions and RFIs will be responded to via email to potential bidders on the Plan Holders List and those registered with the City Purchasing Department for this project. The Finance Committee reserves the right to accept any Proposal or reject any or all Proposals if it is deemed to be in the public interest to do so.
