The Project includes the following Work: Installation of water main , services, and appurtenances; removal and replacement of pavement and restoration of curbing and pavement markings in Knapp Street in Livermore Falls and Jay, Maine. Bid Bond A certified check or bank draft payable to the OWNER or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and a Surety Company in the equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for at least 60 days after receipt of bids unless released by the owner. Performance and Payment Bonds are required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Requirements Each Bidder shall take special notice of the Guidance for use of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in the DWSRF Supplemental General Conditions. Failure to complete these requirements may result in finding that the Bidder is nonresponsive and therefore, not eligible to be awarded this contract. Complete requirements are located in the Bid Documents. The goals for this project are a minimum of 0.64% certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and a minimum of 1.64% certified Womens Business Enterprise (WBE) participation. The Work will be substantially complete within 75 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 100 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
