Contractors may bid on either Mowing, Landscaping or both. The Town of Manchester reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities. It is anticipated that all work described herein will be awarded to a single bidder. All bidders must have or be able to provide references acceptable to the Town upon request. All bidders must examine the conditions under which the work will be performed. INSURANCE Prior to awarding the winning bid, the Contractor must provide a Certificate of Insurance showing Umbrella Coverage for all exposures in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00), with basic coverage for Contractor s general liability, personal injury, property damage, worker s compensation, products/completed operations and automobile hazards. If you are a sole proprietor with no employees an approved Predetermination of Independent Contractor Status form from the State of Maine Workers Compensation Board is required. TERMINATION Either party may terminate this Agreement for cause after giving the other party a 60 day written notice. COMPLETION All work must be completed in a timely manner throughout the year, and according to the requirements of the particular growing season. TERMS The initial term of the contract is for two (2) years, from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024. The parties may mutually agree to extend this Contract for up to one (1) additional year under all the terms and conditions of this contract. The Contractor must notify the Town in writing by February 1, 2024 if the Contractor wants to extend the Contract . Work shall commence July 1, 2022. The Contractor shall bill the Town of Manchester eight equal monthly installments spread out over the following months: July, August, September, October, November, April, May and June. Payment shall be made within fourteen (14) days of receipt of invoice.
