The project is expected to be awarded until June.** The project involves full depth pavement reclamation, fine grading, hot mix asphalt base and surface paving, and other miscellaneous related items on Spring Street, West Dwinal Road, East Dwinal Road, Maple Street, West Chestnut Street, East Chestnut Street, and Pearl Street (Spring Street to railroad tracks). Full depth reconstruction (excavation by Town from Mitchell Street to railroad tracks), fine grading, hot mix asphalt base and surface paving, and other miscellaneous related items on Pearl Street. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope or package with the type of bid clearly indicated on the outside. All bidders must furnish a completed Bid Form, Experience Record, a list of all subcontractors to be utilized on the project, and a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check made out to the Town of Mechanic Falls. The successful bidder must furnish a Certificate of Insurance, 100% Construction Performance Bond, and 100% Construction Labor and Material Payment Bond. The Town reserves the right to adjust the quantities contained in the Bid Form to stay within the project budget, to reject any and all bids, to waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town, not necessarily the lowest bid.
