The Town is soliciting qualifications and pricing proposals from licensed and qualified fire protection service providers to perform inspection, testing, and maintenance services for municipal fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, security systems, and a sprinkler system. Services to be provided include inspections, testing, documentation, and reporting in accordance with all applicable NFPA standards, Maine licensing requirements, and any requirements of the Authority Having Jurisdiction. All monitored fire alarm and security systems must utilize internet-based and/or cellular communication methods, and vendors must verify and document that all system signals are transmitted via approved internet and/or cellular pathways. Vendors must perform fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance at specified municipal locations, comply with NFPA 10, provide replacement recommendations, service tags, and inspection reports. Fire alarm system inspection and testing must comply with NFPA 72 and include annual inspection, testing, signal verification, and communication method verification. Security system inspection and monitoring verification must confirm system operability, monitoring communication, and documentation of deficiencies, with communication method also verified. Fire sprinkler system inspection and testing must comply with NFPA 25, include annual inspection and testing, and device verification. All work must be performed by personnel holding a valid Maine Limited Electrician – Low Energy license or higher. Proposals must be sealed, clearly marked, and received by the specified deadline. Respondents must complete all applicable pricing tables with all-inclusive pricing. Proposals must include company details, proof of experience with municipal buildings, required licenses and certifications, sample inspection report, and proof of insurance as specified. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and negotiate scope and pricing prior to award.
