Site work, paving and renovation of a bridge / tunnel in Newry, Maine. Completed plans call for the renovation of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Government intends to award a single firm-fixed-price contract for the WMF Gilead Trail Bridge Superstructure Replacement on the White Mountain National Forest. Acquisition and source selection will follow FAR Parts 13 and 36. A site visit is scheduled for September 15, 2025, at 10:00 AM Eastern. Interested vendors should meet at the parking lot on Route 2, just past the Bog Brook Training Site when coming from the east (Lat 44.400077, Long -70.928575). Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Between $250,000 and $500,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Bridge is located at mile point 8.0094 on the Gilead Snomo Trail (95459) crossing over Bog Brook. Bridge coordinates are 44.396002, -70.924182. NFS Road 741 (Philbrook Rd) accesses the bridge 0.5 miles in from RT2. NFSR 741 a Native Material Gated Forest Service Road is approximately 8 miles from Bethel Maine, and 21.9 miles from Gorham, NH The Contractor shall conduct work within the work periods shown below, and in accordance with applicable permits or regulations. Activities not otherwise restricted may be scheduled at contractor's preference, when consistent with material limitations, manufacturer's instructions, and in accordance with approved work schedule and suitable advance notification as required. Work shall be conducted safely, performed diligently, in a workmanlike manner adhering to Plans and Specifications and instructions, and be completed promptly. Contractor shall not suspend work prior to implementing appropriate soil stabilization and site protection measures, without approval of COR. No pre-bid tour is scheduled at this time.
