Site work for a water / sewer project in Portland, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of February 25, 2019, the project is already been awarded to D&C Construction for $1,893,720.50. Construction will start on March 2019 and the substantial completion will be on September 2019.** For your convenience, you may parking in the Elm Street Parking Garage and get your parking stamp validated here at City Hall. In the event of inclement weather, please check the local media outlets, the City of Portland Purchasing and/or call the City Purchasing Office, 207-874-8654 regarding any postponement. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following details on the plans: Contract 1 : CWSRF (SRF1 Funded Work 1. Installation of approximately 2,300 linear feet of sanitary sewer and 3,500 linear feet of storm drain. Pipe sizes vary from 10-inch to 36-inch diameter. 2. Full depth reconstruction for Preble Street, from Somerset Street to Cumberland Avenue. 3. Pavement and gravel restoration in SD trench on Preble Street, (Marginal Way to Somerset) and Kennebec Street (Preble St to Forest Ave). 4. Pavement markings due to pavement restoration limits Location: Located on the following streets: o Preble Street, beginning at the Marginal Way intersection, for approximately 2,285 feet to the Congress Street intersection. o Kennebec Street, beginning at the Preble Street intersection, for approximately 1,180 feet to the Forest Avenue intersection. o Somerset Street, beginning at the Preble Street intersection, for approximately 150 feet towards the Elm Street intersection If Portland Schools and/or City operations have been cancelled, any scheduled pre-bid meetings will be cancelled as well. Every effort will be made to provide as much forewarning as possible regarding these decisions.Proposal forms are available at the Purchasing Office, and may be requested by calling (207) 874-8654 or via e-mail. All questions shall be directed in writing to the Purchasing Office by e-mail or faxed to the purchasing office at (207) 874-8652 and must be received no later than 5 working days prior to the scheduled opening date.
