The Town of Skowhegan is requesting bids for the reconstruction of the section of Southside Cemetery as shown on the attached map. Insurance by Contactor: The successful bidder must provide copies of his/her certificate of liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 and a certificate of liability insurance on each and every vehicle used for this project. A statement must also be provided showing you, the contractor, are in compliance with Federal Regulations regarding mandatory drug and alcohol testing. A Certificate of Independent Status for a Construction Contractor must also be filed. An application may be obtained through the Town. Bids must contain anticipated start and completion dates. All paperwork, including insurance certificates, must be completed and filed with the Town Clerk prior to start of work. Bid Selection: The Town of Skowhegan reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and is not liable for any costs incurred by individuals or firms prior to issuance of a contract. Terms of Payment: Unless otherwise noted in this proposal, the Town of Skowhegan agrees to pay the account in full upon completion of the work and after the final inspection and approval by the Sexton or his representative. Any/all items on a final inspection "punch list" must be completed and an additional inspection completed and approved prior to final payment.
