This project involves the design and installation of the Pleasantdale Playground. All contractors are required to complete the CDBG construction packet to be considered. Davis Bacon prevailing wages apply to all labor performed on site, and bidders should refer to the attached Davis Bacon prevailing wage rate sheet when determining labor costs. Proposals must be submitted electronically with the subject line marked with the bid number. Bidders must be registered on the City's Purchasing Webpage or must ensure their firm is listed as a vendor for this bid. All bids shall be submitted on the attached form and must remain open for sixty days after opening. Late proposals will not be accepted. All questions are to be submitted to in writing. Responses that substantially alter this bid will be issued in the form of a written addendum to all registered bid holders. Vendors should visit the site prior to submitting a bid, and will certify with their submission that they have seen the site and understand the required services. The selected proposer will be expected to work with the project manager throughout all phases of the installation process. The successful proposer will be specified as the supplier for all of the equipment. Vendors are requested to submit a minimum of three (3) playground designs for a playground for ages 5-12 ability levels. Elements to be included but not limited to: Slide (spiral/curved or straight) Independent climber Balance activities Inclusive elements Your creative additions Proposals shall include: Playground installation timeline Colors of structures: color scheme options submitted for the selection by the City of South Portland. Complete warranty information must be included for all items noted in proposal. A layout sketch showing each component and pricing of each component of the play area. All playground equipment and surfacing materials supplied for this bid must meet the requirements CPSC's Public Playground Safety Handbook, latest edition. All equipment will meet the ADA and ASTM's guidelines and recommendations as well as conform to any other playground sanction organizations
