The City is seeking subject matter experts in all phases of geotechnical engineering to participate as part of technical advisory panel to help: 1. Gain a greater understanding of the sensitive, clayey soils that are susceptible to landslide action by; a. analyzing the existing data + filling data gaps; b. developing a comprehensive geotechnical field investigation to be implemented by others; and c. providing guidance on a first-of-its-kind public policy in Maine for addressing growth and existing development within vulnerable areas without impeding development in the area; 2. Prioritize susceptible sites for future (advanced) funding as part of regional approach to limit damage and loss of life and real property. This is a grant funded project. It is the Bidders' responsibility to review this solicitation + all accompanying information online.
