Description

Town of Weston is accepting bids for removing snow and controlling ice on public ways, and stock-piling 1,100 yards of sand and 90 tons of salt, for each year of a three (3) year contract starting with the 2026/2027 season and ending 2028/2029. The bid will be accepted on snow removal and ice control for 12.74 miles of road, Town Office, Town Parking Lot and Town Transfer Station. The contractor is to furnish all necessary equipment and to provide certificates of liability/property damage insurance coverage in the amount of $500,000.00 and worker's compensation insurance coverage or an approved Predetermination of Independent Contractor Status to Establish a Rebuttable Presumption. A Performance Bond or Irrevocable Letter of Credit will also be required in the amount of 50% of the contract price. The successful bidder must provide all certificates of insurance and performance guarantee requirements as stated in the Contract specifications, prior to entering into the contract no later than fifteen (15) days of awarding of the bid. The Selectmen reserve the right to reject any or all bids.
