Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of the Nubble Road Phase VI Improvement Project. The work consists of approximately 990 linear feet of 6, 8, and 10-inch diameter water main replacement, water services, fire hydrants, and necessary connections. All water main piping, valves, appurtenances, and pipe testing will be provided by the owner. The contractor is responsible for providing all sand bedding, backfill, and replacement gravel. Pavement saw cutting, removal, and disposal for the water main replacement must be completed by the contractor following the district's standard trench detail, except that pavement replacement is not included. The contractor must prepare, rough grade, and compact the utility trench backfill to a specified surface. Coordination with the York Department of Public Works is required for drainage improvements; the contractor may be asked to provide unit prices for this work. Road reconstruction, widening, curbing, and sidewalk installation will be performed under a separate contract. The contractor is responsible for work zone traffic control and signage per current MUTCD standards for day-to-day operations. The contractor must submit a bid security of at least 5% of the bid amount. Performance and payment bonds each covering 100% of the contract price are required. All work must comply with related labor and environmental laws. The district reserves rights as outlined.
