Renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for the addition of a 500-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
This Request for Proposals (the RFP) is an invitation by the City of Kingston (the City) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Kingston Native Centre & Language Nest - Renovation & Addition to 610 Montreal Street, as further described in Part 2 of the RFP Particulars (the Deliverables). The work includes the partial demolition, renovation and a 44.8 m2 - 2 storey addition to a 2 storey (132.2 m2) heritage stone building - originally built as a public school. The renovations & addition shall accommodate the programming and administration needs of KNCLN. The work includes replacement/repair of heritage windows, stone repointing, mechanical & electrical systems upgrades, installation of a LULA lift, extensive site works, soils remediation, and a PV solar system. The project site will be available to commence construction on March 3, 2025 The construction duration is estimated at fourteen (14) months.
