Bid is cancelled construction of the Everglades Airpark Hangar - Hurricane Ian Repairs located in Collier County, Florida Question Submission Deadline:April 30, 2025, 5:00pm Scope of Work. Bid Sched. Line Item Description Misc. Demo Miscellaneous Demolition. Remove existing gypsum board at Storage and Hangar divider walls (to extents indicated in items below) and include allowance for additional undefined items. A.1 - Exterior Building Envelope & Doors A.1.a* Repair/Replace ALL Damaged Bifold Hangar Door Components (except motors/elec.) Includes (8) hangar doors for aircraft access, motor-operated bifold lift-strap type, approximately 43' w x 16' h, each with (1) integral HM personnel access door. Installation shall be done by qualified installer of hangar doors and PEMB systems. - See spec 024119 Selective Demolition and 133419 Metal Building Systems. - Replace in kind all metal panels, trim & weatherstripping below the bifold line, and allowance for replacement of any additional damaged above bifold line. - See photos 24, 25 and similar. - Remove and replace all (8) 3'x7' integral access doors. - Replace damaged bifold door structural components - 43' x 16' door panels, steel track, etc. - See photos 12, 14 and similar for nonfunctional hangar door examples. A.1.b* Remount 16 Hangar Door Motors on New Steel Frame Mounts Higher Above the Floor. Fabricate steel support systems for motors to help prevent future flood damage. Schweiss Doors to assess new mounting height. - Contractor shall provide steel support systems as needed to raise and support all electric motors at the new height (TBD). - See photo 42 for existing motor mounting. Everglades Airpark (FAA LID: X01) March 15, 2024 Aircraft Hangar Repairs Visual Damage Report 4 A.1.c Repair/Replace Damaged Building Cladding Systems (besides that at hangar doors) Includes cladding at (2) storage units, building endwalls, and the overall roof. Replace all damaged metal panels, trim, seals, flashing and roof accessories to match existing. All exterior cladding shall be installed "weathertight" as intended by the PEMB manufacturer. Roof may have little to no damage but an inspection allowance should be included here. - See floor plan diagrams and photos 6, 11, 27, 29-32 and similar. - See specs 024119 Selective Demolition and 133419 Metal Building Systems. A.1.d Replace (2) 3' x 7' Damaged Hollow Metal Access Doors and Frames. - Located at building end walls. See photos 16, 31 and similar. A.1.e Replace 2 Damaged Roll-up Doors (8'W x 12'H) at Storage Units. - Includes door, frame and all components. See photos 28 and 58. A.2 - Interior Work A.2.a Repair/Replace Damaged Fire-Rated Partitions Between Storage Units & Hangar Bay Replace approx.. 2,000 SF of type 'X' gypsum board, firestopping (and insulation if present in existing assembly). Prep, prime and paint all wall surfaces (approx. 5,200 SF). - See enlarged storage unit floor plan and fire-rated plan detail. - See specs 024119 Selective Demolition, 092116 Gypsum Board Assemblies, 099113 Exterior Painting, and 078400 Firestopping. A.2.b Prep, Prime and Paint Existing High Gyp. Bd. Between Hangar Bays (approx. 7,500 SF) - See floor plans, photos 21-23, 34-36. See specs 092116 Gypsum Board Assemblies and 099113 Exterior Painting. A.2.c Install Corrugated Metal Panels at Partitions Between Hangar Bays (Approx. 6,700 SF) - See enlarged hangar bay floor plan, typical photos between bays. - Prefinished white, 24-ga. minimum with a minimum 7/8" rib height. Ribs to run horizontally. Metal closure shall be installed on top and bottom of panels. Hold panel 1/2 " off floor to facilitate drainage underneath. - See 133419 Metal Building Systems. A.2.d Prep & Paint Structural Columns & Base Plates (34 each) PEMB structural steel columns and base plates shall have all rust properly removed and be refinished with new primer and paint coating. - See floor plans, photos 26 and 55, and spec 099113 Exterior Painting for additional requirements including substrate preparations. A.2.e Floor Slab Cleaning, Stripping & Sealing (approx. 10,700 SF) - See enlarged hangar bay floor plan and photos 33-36 showing general condition. B through F - Electrical & Site Work B* Hangar Door Motor Replacement & Associated Electrical Work 16 each of: Motors, Disconnects, Push Button Stations, Sprockets, Chain, etc. - Includes install, inspection and testing for all (8) hangar doors. Tests shall be performed once repairs to hangar doors are complete, by Contractor and Contractor's qualified installer of hangar doors. C Hangar Building Electrical System Allowance to test and inspect entire hangar building electrical system, and remove and replace any damaged components in kind. Includes hangar door-mounted wall pack light fixtures. D Repair/Replace Damaged Fence/Gates/Entry Includes repair of damaged property and external boundary fences (approx. 200 LF), fence security system, and repair of (2) damaged electric gates. E Miscellaneous Metal Debris Collection & Disposal Includes fees. See 024119 Selective Demolition, 3.5 and 3.8.B. F Exterior Cleaning Includes removal of all other items to be disposed of.
