Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Surf City, New Jersey. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Board of Education intends to sell the LBI Grade School to fund renovations to the Ethel A. Jacobsen Elementary School. An $18.4 million bond referendum to expand and renovate the school was rejected by voters in September 2017. Voters also shot down a December 2019 referendum to renovate the LBI School. As of January 3, 2022, Di Cara Rubino Architects is no longer affiliated with this project. The owner states that construction is not currently planned for this project.
