This project provides for purchase and installation of a permanent back-up power generator at the South East Morningside Lift Station and for the movement of the existing back-up power generator to Perry Creek Lift Station. The current generator at S.E. Morningside is not large enough to accommodate the power needs of the pumps. These diesel fuel operated generators will provide power to the lift station equipment in the event of a power outage. This project includes the generator w/enclosure, concrete pad, fencing, automatic transfer switch and installation. FY 2018 budget covers a needed back-up generator at Riverside Lift Station. Justification: As a major lift station for transportation of wastewater within the City of Sioux City, uninterrupted operation of the lift station is critical to provide continuous service and to prevent sewage backups to our businesses and residences. As of November 19, 2018 no new CIP issued, this project is currently in the FY 2019-2023 CIP . Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for design Fiscal Year 2018-2019 and for construction Fy 2019-2021. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2019 As of September 28, 2023, no new information available from city. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
