SE Magazine Water Main Improvements (2020) project includes the installation of water main generally located along the north side of SE Magazine Road from the SE corner of the property at 1201 S Ankeny Boulevard to the west right of way of the abandoned RR tracks now owned by the city of Ankeny (230-ft), thence the water main alignment is located along the west right of way of said abandoned RR tracks to a point 960-ft south of the SE Magazine Road right of way. From the abandoned RR tracks, the water main alignment is located in side yards and crossing under SE Cortina Drive to the easterly connection point at the rear property line of 1509 SE Cortina Drive. The Construction Improvements consist of approximately 2,560 linear feet of 16” water main installation. Approximately 1,770 linear feet of main will be installed using conventional trench installation and the remainder will be installed using horizontal directional drilling. Other associated work to occur on site are storm sewer removal/replacement, traffic control, erosion control, seeding, and other miscellaneous work necessary to complete the project.
