Renovation of a water / sewer project in Renton, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

As of 06/02/2021 This project has been awarded. Black River Pump Station High Use Engines Synopsis The Work of this project is to replace or rehabilitate critical components of three flood control pumps (propeller pumps driven through right-angle gear drives) at the Black River Pump Station (BRPS). The right-angle gear drives and pumps are to be shipped to approved refurbishment shops for disassembly, inspection, and repair of identified and approved components. The diesel engine drivers of two pumps (P2 and P4) are to be replaced with new Tier 3 diesel engines (low emission), and the horizontal motor drive for the third pump (P1) is also to be replaced. The new diesel engines for P2 and P4 are to be procured by the Contractor via a sole source agreement between the County and a local supplier. After the reinstallation of the Rehabilitated/new equipment, start-up and test each of the three rehabilitated pump/driver systems. Provide new FRP stop logs for pump bay isolation (to replace existing concrete stop logs), including a new inflatable seal system. Provide a new vertical turbine pump and a manual (unpowered) strainer. Work also includes startup, testing and commissioning Work site: Black River Pump Station, 550 Monster Road SW, Renton WA Each site tour will last a maximum thirty (30) minutes with a maximum of five (5) individuals (not including King County staff) per tour. Hardhats, safety glasses, safety vests, gloves, hearing protection and safety boots are required for site tour. King County will not loan out PPE. Available starting times for both site visits are: 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am and 12:00pm. Bidders must make reservations to the physical Site Tour preferred.Reservations will not be allowed until AFTER the HASP is approved by WTD Safety. Reservations for a particular time will be first-come, first-served based on the message time-stamp of bidders requests. If no one makes a reservation, no physical Site Tour will occur.To find the meeting place of the physical Site Tour: Black River Pump Station, 550 Monster Road SW, Renton, WA. Parking is limited at the Site. The following conditions apply to the physical Site Tour: 1. All participants must wear masks. No one will be allowed onto the Project Site without wearing a mask. No gators or bandanas will be allowed as face coverings. 2. No touching or handshakes. Individuals shall maintain a distance of six feet from each other throughout the Site Tour as much as practicable. 3. Avoid touching surfaces at the facility. 4. All participants must comply with Section 01 35 29 Health and Safety Procedures as it pertains to social distancing and avoidance of physical contact under the current Governors Declaration regulating activities at construction sites
